The Demographic Transition
Today we were given a packet on the demographic transition. We had to underline important terms some of the main terms on the demographic transition were the stages of growth the stage one, stage two, stage three and stage four. Stage one is low growth, stage two is high growth, stage three is moderate growth, and stage four is low growth. Most of human history was spent in stage one but today no country is in stage one most are in stage two. A country moves from stage two to stage three when the CBR begins to drop rapidly, a society enters stage three when people have fewer children. A country reaches stage four when the CBR declines to a point where it reaches CDR and the NIR approaches zero.
